The focus of this week is on Chapter 4: Probability and Counting Rules . The goals are to review and learn some basic properties and rules for probability. In this chapter, you will learn the properties of probability, basic rules in probability, and some basic counting rules. You will learn the connection between relative frequency and the probability, addition and multiplication rules, complementation rule, conditional probability. You will also learn some basic counting techniques such as the use of tree diagram for counting, fundamental counting rule (multiplication principle of counting), permutation and combination formulas.To Do List:1. Read all the sections in chapter 4.2. Download lecture notes and view recorded lecture for chapter 4 (V.13 through V. 18).
